Limits & metering
How pages are counted, what is free, and the rate limits.
Metering
- 1 credit = 1 page of output.
- Pages are counted after a successful render, from the actual PDF.
- Failed renders (4xx/5xx) cost nothing.
- Screenshots cost 1 credit.
Rate limits
| Plan | Requests / minute | Concurrent renders | Max pages / request |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 60 | 2 | 50 |
| Starter | 60 | 3 | 100 |
| Pro | 60 | 10 | 250 |
| Business | 60 | 30 | 500 |
Payload limits
- HTML/Markdown JSON body: 6 MB.
- Office and PDF uploads: 10 MB each.
- Render timeout: 30 s default, 60 s maximum.
Quota behaviour
When your balance reaches zero, the API returns 402 before doing any work. A render that succeeds and takes you slightly negative is allowed, then blocks the next request. This avoids losing a document you already waited for.
