Idempotency
Retry safely without being charged twice.
Send an Idempotency-Key header (max 64 characters, unique per operation). A successful response is cached for 24 hours and replayed byte-for-byte, with X-Pdfpilot-Idempotent-Replay: true. Replays are free.

- The key is scoped to your API key.
- Only 200 responses are cached, up to 8 MB.
- Use a deterministic value derived from the business object, not a random UUID per attempt.
- Change the key when the document content changes.
