Modern CSS, not 2012 CSS
Chromium renders flexbox, grid, custom properties, web fonts and background images. wkhtmltopdf and PhantomJS cannot.
Headers, footers, page numbers
Pass header and footer HTML with .pageNumber and .totalPages placeholders. No post-processing library needed.
Wait for your charts
Use waitForSelector to print only after a chart or webfont has loaded, so dashboards never arrive half-painted.
Idempotent retries
Send an Idempotency-Key and a network retry never creates a second copy or a second charge.

Do I need to install Chromium?+
No. We run and patch the rendering engine. You send HTML over HTTPS and receive a PDF stream.
Can I use my own fonts and CSS?+
Yes. Inline CSS works, and any font you can serve over HTTPS is available inside the document. Noto fonts for nine Indic scripts are already installed on the renderer.
What about external images?+
Images fetched over HTTPS are loaded before printing. Private or localhost URLs are blocked for security; inline them as data URIs if they are not publicly reachable.
How fast is a typical invoice?+
HTML, URL and Markdown requests time out after 30 seconds by default; you can raise the limit to 60 seconds per request. Rendering time depends on the page and its external assets.
